Terms for using InterviewUp.
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of InterviewUp's website, AI mock interview tools, resume review features, and paid subscriptions.

Agreement to Terms & Eligibility
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and InterviewUp ("InterviewUp", "we", "our", or "us", operated by Scalar TechHub Pvt.Ltd.). These Terms govern your access to and use of our public website (https://www.interviewup.ai), our web application (https://www.app.interviewup.ai), and all associated tools, simulations, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our website, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or purchase a subscription.
- Authority: If you are using the Services on behalf of a company, university, bootcamp, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Accounts, Registration & Security
To access mock interview sessions, personalized feedback, coding sandboxes, and resume reviews, you must register for an account through our authenticated portal. Accounts are provisioned and managed via Google Firebase Authentication.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account profile details updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Personal Account Integrity: Accounts are individual and non-transferable. You may not share, sell, transfer, or license your account credentials to third parties.
- Credential Protection: You must notify InterviewUp immediately at info@interviewup.ai if you detect or suspect any unauthorized access, security incident, or credential breach.
- Account Suspension: InterviewUp reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create security risks for other users.
Subscription Plans, Billing & Cancellation
InterviewUp offers free access tiers as well as premium paid subscription tiers (such as Pro and Elite plans). Feature limits, pricing, and billing intervals (monthly or annual) are clearly displayed on our Pricing page and confirmed at checkout.
All financial transactions, currency conversions (USD and INR), and payment collections are processed through Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., our PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment partner. InterviewUp does not collect, receive, or store your raw payment card numbers or online banking passwords.
- Automatic Renewals: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) at the then-current plan rate, unless you cancel prior to the renewal date.
- Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings in https://www.app.interviewup.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the conclusion of your current paid billing period; you will retain premium access until that period expires.
- Refund Terms: Except where mandated by applicable consumer protection laws (such as statutory EU/UK withdrawal rights), subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced and services have been provisioned.
- Taxes: You are responsible for all applicable sales, value-added (VAT), goods and services (GST), or other governmental taxes associated with your purchase.
Transparent Billing
You can view your active plan, manage renewal preferences, and download invoices directly from your account billing dashboard.
Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
InterviewUp is intended exclusively for lawful personal career preparation, professional skill assessment, and legitimate educational training. You agree to use the Services in a manner that complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
- No Scraping or Automated Harvesting: You must not use automated scripts, bots, spiders, crawlers, or scrapers to extract questions, rubrics, guides, salary data, or platform content.
- No Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or proprietary algorithms of the InterviewUp platform.
- No Quota Bypassing or Abuse: You may not exploit bugs, manipulate authentication tokens, or circumvent usage caps established for your subscription tier.
- No Commercial Reselling: Individual user plans may not be used by commercial recruitment firms or headhunters to screen third-party candidates without an enterprise licensing agreement.
- No Malicious Input: You may not upload content that contains software viruses, malware, trojan horses, or harmful code designed to disrupt platform infrastructure.
AI Features, Simulations & Limitations
InterviewUp employs advanced automated systems and commercial enterprise artificial intelligence models to simulate interviews, analyze responses, generate follow-up questions, and evaluate resumes.
Artificial intelligence is an evolving technology. While we design our rubrics and prompts to reflect realistic hiring standards, AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, unintended omissions, or outdated company information.
- Independent User Judgment: AI-generated evaluations, rubric scores, and recommendations are designed as study aids. You must exercise your own critical judgment before relying on AI feedback.
- No Professional Advice: InterviewUp does not provide legal, financial, medical, psychological, immigration, or certified employment counseling through its AI features.
- Zero Model Training on Your Inputs: As detailed in our Privacy Policy, your interview responses, voice transcripts, and resumes are processed under enterprise API terms and are not utilized to train public foundation AI models.
Human Evaluation Required
AI feedback is a simulated preparation tool. Practice scores do not guarantee or predict how human interviewers or specific corporate hiring panels will evaluate you.
Disclaimer of Employment & Hiring Outcomes
InterviewUp is an independent educational and interview preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Capgemini, or any other company referenced in our study guides or interview question libraries.
Company names, logos, and trademarks referenced on our platform belong to their respective owners and are used strictly for nominative identification and educational comparison purposes.
- No Guarantee of Employment: InterviewUp expressly disclaims any promise, warranty, or representation that using the Services will result in receiving a job interview, passing a screening round, obtaining a job offer, or achieving a specific salary level.
- Hiring Discretion: All employment and hiring decisions rest solely with prospective employers. InterviewUp does not act as an employment agency, recruiter, or staffing placement service.
User Content & Intellectual Property
You retain full intellectual property ownership of all materials you submit to the Services, including uploaded resumes, CVs, portfolios, written interview answers, and code submissions ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant InterviewUp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to host, store, parse, transcribe, and display your content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, and provide the Services to you, subject to our Privacy Policy.
- InterviewUp Intellectual Property: All software, UI designs, graphics, branding, logos, domain names, question libraries, scoring rubrics, and documentation are the exclusive property of InterviewUp and its licensors.
- Content Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to upload your User Content and that it does not infringe on third-party copyrights, patents, or trade secrets.
- Feedback & Suggestions: If you provide feedback, feature requests, or suggestions regarding the platform, we may freely implement them without any obligation, restriction, or financial compensation to you.
Service Availability, Updates & Maintenance
We strive to maintain high availability and reliability for the Services. However, the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of uninterrupted uptime or error-free operation.
From time to time, features may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, cloud infrastructure updates, security patches, or emergency repairs. InterviewUp reserves the right to modify, update, enhance, or discontinue any feature or tool at its sole discretion.
Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall InterviewUp, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or failure to secure employment—arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Services.
To the extent permitted by law, InterviewUp's total aggregate liability for all claims arising under or related to these Terms or the Services shall be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount paid by you to InterviewUp in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident, or (b) fifty United States dollars ($50.00 USD).
- Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InterviewUp and its affiliates from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of the Services.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction / Applicable Legal Entity], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
In the event of any controversy, dispute, or claim, you and InterviewUp agree to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by providing written notice to info@interviewup.ai. If the dispute is not resolved within forty-five (45) days of receipt, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of [Designated Legal Venue / Jurisdiction].
Changes to Terms & Contact Information
We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms as our platform evolves or as required by law. When updates are published, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
For material modifications that substantially affect your rights, we will provide advance notice via an in-app announcement, email notification, or other appropriate communication. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated agreement.
